One year ago…
💫 BMOT started with a feeling..
An OT Service built on what not to be.
A clinician that was able chose to provide what was needed — not just what was expected, and not what simply earned the money.
A quiet belief that Occupational Therapy could be more.
More human.
More honest.
More real.
No big launch.
No perfect plan.
Just a deep commitment to doing the right thing for people.
As we approach our first birthday…. I had some amazing news yesterday!
BMOT has been named Occupational Therapy Service of the Year. I am completely humbled and deeply grateful.
Because behind that title are moments you don’t see on paper…
The muddy paths we’ve pushed wheelchairs through just to get someone where they needed to be.
The tears held, the courage witnessed, the small wins that were actually everything.
The times we stayed longer, tried harder, thought differently — because it mattered!
The feedback we received said:
✨ High impact
✨ Person-centred
✨ Meaningful
✨ Professional
But what it really reflects is this…
People felt seen.
People felt heard.
People felt that someone truly cared (because we do).
This has never just been a business.
It’s people. It’s trust. It’s 💚.
And I also want to say this…
Thank you to the people who told me to go for it — when it was just an idea.
Thank you to the ones who have cheerleaded from the sidelines (you know who you are).
Thank you to those who have supported quietly, consistently, without judgement.
To every individual, every family, every professional who has let BMOT be part of their journey — thank you.
One year in… and we’re only just beginning. We may have started as a single OT clinician, but we have organically grown! OT, Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy…. And so much more in the pipeline (but always with the same values) 💚💙💜
