Who brings rubber gloves on holiday? Amelia does and I’m so proud of the fact! 💛🧤
Washing her hair has always been a challenge for Amelia due to sensory differences. The feeling of water and shampoo on her hands and scalp used to cause real distress. I never thought she would manage it! But, she packed a pair of yellow rubber gloves in her suitcase… and everything changed.
With the right strategy in place, Amelia can now wash her own hair – even on holiday! It’s a small item that made a huge difference, giving her more independence, confidence, and control.
This is what meaningful therapy looks like – understanding the person, working with their differences (not against them), and finding what works.
Real life. Real progress. Real smiles. 💚
