Introducing the BMOT Bear! This little bundle of joy has been knitted by my mum, at 81 years recovering from a shoulder fracture and she wanted to help! This therapy is also helping her – she never thought she would knit again.
At BMOT, we’re always looking for creative and compassionate ways to connect with the children and families we support. That’s why we’re so excited to introduce our very own BMOT Worry Bear – a tiny friend with a big job.
This little bear is more than just a soft toy. It’s a comforting tool for children who may struggle to express or manage their worries. If its appropriate, each child shall be sent a bear after an assessment – whether we are instructed or not!
The idea came from our commitment to keeping therapy real, grounded, and person-centred. Sometimes, letting go of a worry starts with being heard, even if by a bear.
